Please understand this is a process as we are selling 300 to 500 items in one day and everyone pays at once and we have to pack 300 items. it takes time :).
We do not pack all items. If they are too big or fragile for us to in house pack we will let you know. Anything big and or too fragile needs to be proffessinaly packed by a packing company. Most boxes 14″ to 18″ ship for $68 – $78 —- Boxes under 12″ can ship for around $40 —- Large orders and items over 30″ should be picked up or delivered by a 3rd party. Lot 26 Benny Carter (1943 – 2014) $2,000 – $4,000
One of the Earliest and Finest, what we, as the Gibsonville Folk Mafia call… A “Benny Carter Small”… not a miniature but a “small” at just over 5″. This is from his MASTERPIECE PERIOD (1996 – 1997). One of the finest examples ever offered to the public. Take special note of the oil-based house paint and the No Hair statue of liberty. This helps us date this piece despite the fact that it is dated on the back 1996. Also take special note that this is in his “hoarder phase” where he let no room on the canvas for brush strokes filling the entire platform up with tiny matriculas strokes.
